Since it was late at night I put the DIMM's back where they where and closed cased. According to the manual in order to achieve quad channel the DIMM's go in slots DIMM_A1/DIMM_B1 and DIMM_D2/DIMM_C2 since they where all installed in the left DIMM slots, I tried to install them according to what the manual illustration shows only to have the DIMM's not wanting to fit. I had watched a few vids on YT and noticed that all 4 memory DIMM's where all on the left side of the CPU. I got home opened up the case and decided to have a look and go over mobo manual. Having said that I picked it up the next day (last Friday) and have had no issues with the new build. I had a $150 gift card from Frys and what pushed me even more to having them build the rig is that they had the advanced system build for 49.99 (50% off). Last week I put together these components and had Frys build the system for me (more on that in a bit)Īfter reading a bit on this mobo I decided go ahead and put something together around this mobo but reading this thread and reading that a few people where having issues not just with this board but the whole x99 platform as a whole, I decided that I'd let Frys put it together for me and if they had any issues with the mobo they would just swap it in-store themselves. Hey guys new to the forums second post! Have a few questions.
